Comix Downloader Plus

Draft Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Plus is still in development and cannot currently be purchased. These draft terms describe the planned optional account, billing, and synchronization service before launch. The free, open-source extension remains governed by its MIT license and does not require an account.

1. Service and eligibility

Plus provides encrypted synchronization of selected extension metadata, restore history, and device management. You must be legally able to enter a paid subscription and provide accurate account and billing information. Plus is not affiliated with or endorsed by comix.to or comix.ws.

2. Trial, price, and renewal

Eligible verified accounts receive one 30-day trial after completing a checkout that requires a payment method. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at US$1.50 per month plus taxes shown at checkout. Trial eligibility does not reset when an account is deleted and recreated.

3. Billing provider

Stripe Managed Payments provides checkout, with Link acting as merchant of record. Stripe and Link process payment methods, applicable indirect taxes, invoices, renewals, cancellations, transaction support, and legally required billing records under their own terms and privacy policies. Comix Downloader does not receive full card details.

4. Cancellation and failed payments

You may cancel through the billing portal at any time. Access continues until the trial or paid period ends. A failed payment may receive a seven-day service grace period; the billing provider may run its own retry schedule. After expiry, automatic sync stops and existing cloud data is read-only for 90 days before deletion.

5. Your encryption and recovery responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping at least one approved device or the recovery code. The service cannot decrypt synchronized payloads or recover a lost encryption key. After a fresh account-email verification, resetting cloud encryption deletes cloud snapshots but does not delete local extension data.

6. Acceptable use

We may suspend abusive accounts to protect the service and other users.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to operate Plus reliably but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Browser closure pauses synchronization. We may make security, compatibility, or operational changes. Existing free extension features will not be moved behind Plus as part of this service.

8. Account deletion

Account deletion revokes sessions and devices, deletes synchronized data, and requests cancellation of the linked subscription. Stripe and Link may retain billing records required by law. A one-way email hash and customer identifier may be retained solely to enforce one-trial eligibility and prevent abuse.

9. Warranty and liability

Plus is provided on an "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the developer disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.

10. Contact and governing law

These terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence. Contact the developer through the public support repository for service questions. Do not post private billing or recovery information publicly.
